Bulbul Sharma is a painter and writer. She is the author of several books, including My Sainted Aunts, The Perfect Woman and Anger of Aubergines, Banana Flower Dreams, Shaya Tales, Devi, Eating Women, Telling Tales and Now That I am Fifty. Her books have been translated into Italian, French, Finnish and Spanish. She has also written several books for children – Book of Indian Birds, Fabled Book of Gods and Demons and The Children's Ramayana.
