HUSTON SMITH is widely regarded as the most eloquent and accessible contemporary authority on the history of religions. He has taught at Washington University, MIT, and Syracuse University and was most recently visiting professor at the University of California at Berkely. Holder of twelve honorary degrees, Smith’s fourteen books include The World’s Religions which has sold over 2 ½ million copies, and Why Religion Matters which won the Wilbur Award for the best book on religion. Bill Moyers devoted a five-part PBS Special, “The Wisdom of Faith with Huston Smith,” to his life and work. Smith lives with his wife Kendra in Berkeley, CA.
