Johan Mattelaer

Johan Mattelaer worked as a urologist in the Department of Urology at AZ
Groeninge till 2003. He is an expert on the history of medicine, urology and
sexology. He has written and edited many books, such as The Phallus in Art and
Culture, From Ornamentation to Mutilation: Genital Decorations and Cultural
Operations in the Male, Forbidden Fruit: Sex, Erotics and Art, and Sexological and
Other Less Logical Stories, to name a few.
