PETER F. DRUCKER is considered the most influential management thinker ever. The author of over 25 books, his ideas have had an enormous impact on shaping the modern corporation. Drucker passed away in 2005. JOSEPH A. MACIARIELLO (editor of the revised edition) is Horton Professor of Management at the Peter F. Drucker and Masatoshi Ito Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University. He collaborated with Peter Drucker to publish The Daily Drucker (HarperCollins 2004), The Effective Executive in Action (HarperCollins, 2005), three executive development modules, and two articles on management in the social sector. In addition, he is the author of numerous articles that provide a systematic integration of Drucker’s major works. He travels widely as a lecturer and consultant. Maciariello lives in Claremont, CA.
