TasneemZakaria Mehta has been deeply engaged with art and culture, especiallyof India, since she graduated from the Sir J.J. School of Art many yearsback. She has studied fine art, textile design, art history, literatureand political philosophy. As vice chairman of INTACH, the IndianNational Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, Mehta has been one of thepioneers of the heritage restoration movement in the country, includingthe UNESCO award winning restoration of the Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum. Shehas been equally involved with the contemporary art movement in thecountry and has conceptualised and curated several exhibitions andprogrammes at the Museum, at other venues and at the World EconomicForum at Davos.“
