About the Trilogy
The lion warrior. The conflicted king. The Asura emperor.
Divided by fate. United by tragedy.
Narasimha, once a brave soldier, has left the war and hides in a village, working as a physician. But soon, a familiar face from his past finds him, seeking his help to stop the tyranny of the blind usurper — Andhaka.
If Narasimha refuses, the world might just end.
Prahlad, the interim king of Kashyapuri, is conflicted between the ideals of his unrighteous father and his love for Lord Vishnu. Whom will he choose?
Hiranyakashyap, the ruler of the Asura Empire, seeks to avenge his wife. But to do that, he must get the ultimate weapon—the Brahmshastra. For that, he has to go through the Trials that has sent so many others to their death. Can he win?
Talking about the trilogy, Kevin Missal says, “I am super excited to join hands with the HarperCollins team for the Narasimha Book series which will undoubtedly be a major success, since it’s my best work till now and I have worked on it the longest. This trilogy, which deals with Lord Narasimha, King Hiranyakashyap and Prahlad, is nonstop action, romance and drama, with an important message at the end that is relevant in contemporary times. It also has a very unique interpretation of Lord Narasimha’s life. The Harper team has been pumped about this series since day one and I couldn’t have gotten a better publisher to go with.”
Swati Daftuar, Commissioning Editor, who acquired the trilogy says, “Kevin’s grasp over world-building and storytelling is absolutely wonderful, and the tales he tells are stunning in their expanse – visual, exhilarating journeys that take you on immensely gratifying adventures. That he’s chosen as his next subject one of our most complicated and interesting mythological characters makes things even more exciting, and I’m thrilled to have him on board. The Narasimha trilogy promises to be his best work yet.”
