‘A sublime equity of word and image, play and reflection, light and shadow, grace this breathtaking work. An exhilarating achievement of the picture-book form; A Full Circle is quite simply perfect.’
– David Ouimet
A Full Circle is an evocative ode to the power of poetry,
in which art and verse bring each other alive.
In this poem, author and artist Namrita Bachchan describes the magic of
childhood and what the world looks like through the eyes of her curious,
free-spirited five-year-old daughter, as she explores the wonder of reading.
Enriched by a soothing rhythm, the words in this exquisitely illustrated book run parallel to ethereal imagery immersing readers of all ages in a
fantastical journey against the backdrop of nature.
Within these pages, a wide, wild world waits to be discovered –
in a way that is finer, freer, and ultimately fuller.
‘The process of making this book has been intuitive, quietly experimental, and manifold in its teachings, made possible by the total support of Harper Design, an inestimable publishing platform whose emphasis on providing open-minded and high-quality content means the artist’s voice is not compromised whilst creating something of wide reach.’
– Namrita Bachchan, Author and Artist
‘This is a stunning debut by a writer, artist and designer who finds beauty in the universal and commonplace, and views the magic of childhood through a rare, keen lens. In Namrita’s voice is a purity and clarity that echo the subtleties of that time in a manner that is effortless, simple. And in the profound words of Da Vinci, simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
I am beyond delighted that the Harper Design imprint takes off with A Full Circle.”
– Bonita Vaz-Shimray, Art Director and Publisher — HarperDesign
