Author and illustrator of The Gutsy Girls Who Led India, Ilina Singh says, “I did not find any book on leadership for children, although it’s one of the most sought after skill in our world. So, I simply wrote India’s first children’s book on leadership, inspired by Indian women leaders across the ages. I hope the leadership lessons and activities in each chapter engage young readers and inspire them to start their very own leadership journeys.”
Tina Narang, Publisher – HarperCollins Children’s Books says, “We are delighted to announce the release of ‘Gutsy Girls Who Led India’. After the noteworthy first book of biographies of remarkable women scientists, ‘Gutsy Girls of Science’, Ilina Singh is back with the stories of some incredible women warriors, queens and leaders who were brave, fearless and most of all gutsy, ranging from Queen Didda and Velu Nachiyar, to Rani Laxmibai, Abakka Chowta and several others. The book also features activities and notes to explore and develop your leadership potential. We certainly need more gutsy women in the making!”
