Priyanka Lenka for Love Bites

Meera was sitting on the chair in the balcony and having breakfast as she read Kevin’s old messages on her mobile. Suddenly, a new message popped up on her phone.
‘I am really sorry Meera. I did not get time to contact you. My phone battery was dead since last night. My father and I are a COVID 19 hospital. The arrangement is okay and doctors and healthcare workers here are very caring and supportive. I even have access to the WiFi here. I was worried for my father, but thankfully, we haven’t shown any symptoms yet so the doctors are assuring us of an early recovery.’
Meera was relieved after receiving the message from Kevin. They began messaging each other again, every 3-4 hours, but Meera had not told him anything yet about the note with Kevin’s phone number. The bond between Kevin and Meera deepened. In this way fifteen days passed and Kevin and his father’s blood samples were sent. The results came back negative and hearing this, Meera was very happy.
The next morning, Meera also told Kevin that the colony WiFi connection was restored and there had been a meeting of the RWA members’ online platform, where it was decided that the colony would go by the norms of ‘Atithi Devo Bhava’. The society was getting ready to welcome the warriors who defeated Corona – the father-son duo.
Meera: Come back soon! I have something for you. Guess what?
Kevin: Butter chicken. Mistress of Spices, I cannot wait to see you. You are so beautiful. I love you.
Meera: You are average looking. Just kidding. Love you too. But I need something from you.
Kevin: What do you want from me?
Meera: Love bites.
