The Food Book by Subah Saraf, published by Satvic Movement

A food guide that contains ancient knowledge about how to heal one’s body with plant-based food

About the Book

The food principles in this book are based on the ancient wisdom of our scriptures, while the cuisine is designed to best fit our busy modern lifestyle. By switching to this food and lifestyle, one can cure chronic diseases like diabetes, high/low blood pressure, thyroid, PCOD, hair fall, excess weight, skin problems, and many others.

This book contains over 45 plant-based dairy-free recipes curated by author Subah Saraf including detox salads, healing soups, and contemporary twists on classic Indian dishes such as Satvic chapati, Satvic khichadi and Satvic sabzi. None of the recipes contain refined oil, sugar, pungent spices, milk and milk products, and processed foods. They are made using ingredients straight from nature, the way you find them in nature. Packed with beautiful photography, The Food Book integrates traditional healing wisdom with contemporary nutritional science and invites you to change your relationship with food and radically enhance your health, digestion, radiance and bliss.

Apart from the recipes, the book also contains:

• 21 Satvic Food Laws (rules to remember while practising Satvic cooking)

• Guide to set up your Satvic Kitchen (shopping lists, equipment needed)

• Meal Plans for disease reversal

• Guide to growing sprouts and making nut milks at home

Talking about the book, author Subah Saraf said, “We are beyond grateful to be associating with HarperCollins. From a young age, it was my dream to get the Satvic Food Book published by someone who understands the intent behind this food book. When we met the team at Harper Collins, something in our hearts said, ‘YES!’ We are excited for the book to reach the hands of thousands of people who are looking to live a healthier life, more in alignment with Mother Nature’s laws.”
