‘Paper Moon is a book that leans towards love and hope in the face of uncertainty and conflict. It’s come from a place of warmth and cheer, and I hope the reader feels that, too.’ – Rehana Munir
‘Paper Moon is an absolutely enchanting book about falling in love, and being in love… with books. It’s the story of Bombay’s very own Shop Around the Corner, run by the young, spirited and determined Fiza, who is up for dealing with every challenge life throws at her with aplomb. Paper Moon evokes the feel, the joys, the smells, the charm of an indie bookstore, and of Bombay in the early 2000s. It will take you into a world from which you’ll never want to escape, and Paper Moon is a book you’ll wish would never end. This is Rehana Munir’s very first book – and
she is most certainly a writer to watch in the future!’ – Udayan Mitra, Publisher – Literary, at HarperCollins India
About the Book:
Books. Bombay. Romance.
When her estranged father passes away, Fiza, fresh out of college, discovers that he has left her a tidy sum in the hope that she will open a bookshop…
Overnight, Fiza’s placid life is thrown into a whirl of décor decisions and book-buying sprees, unconventional staff and colourful patrons, small pleasures and little heartbreaks, as the store – Paper Moon – begins to take shape in a charming, old Bandra mansion. To top it all off, she is being wooed by Iqbal, a mysterious customer who frequents the shop, and Dhruv, her ex-boyfriend, for whom her feelings are still confused.
Can Fiza take charge of her life, reconcile with the past, and reach for everything that is hers?
