ROUTINE DIET
Diet is a pattern of food consumption. Every household community, country and region have its own predominant diets. In the world of fitness and nutrition, we follow diets or patterns of eating to achieve certain goals.
Routine Diet is a pattern of diet which you can consume in your day-to-day lifestyle. It is meant to take care of micro and macro nutrients, and your emotional and mental well-being.
This pattern or routine cannot be the same for years together or even months together; it needs to change according to the weather; your health, nutritional deficiencies, health goals, body activity, stress levels, moods and mainly likes and dislikes.
INTERMITTENT FASTING
Intermittent fasting is when you cycle between eating and fasting period, there is a particular period of time you are allowed to eat and then you need to fast for longer hours.
It’s a time specific diet in which usually 16:8 ratio of time is followed, basically your eating window should be of 8 hours in which you can eat your meals and fasting window is of 16 hours in which you shouldn’t consume anything. You can have green tea, black tea or lemonade in the fasting period but should not consume sugar in any form in the fasting window.
Intermittent fasting is beneficial in many ways, IF reduces insulin which initiates fat burning and also helps in lowering the risk of type 2 diabetes, stimulates cellular repair, helps in reducing the oxidative stress and inflammation in the body, IF also promotes heart health. Intermittent fasting results last for longer time and this diet is easier to follow.
